Pricing and Contracting Strategies

Navigating local markets

Understanding and gauging the acceptable price points is complex. At times, newer therapies launching in an emerging market and/or a market where there are no direct competitors present, have no price benchmarks. Identifying the optimal list and net prices through an understanding of the regional market dynamics and standards of care is key to a successful launch.

What sets us apart

Our approach relies on in-depth qualitative and quantitative research to assess net and list prices achievable, competitor pricing, local contracting and access programs, and an analogue analysis to understand historical examples of success

  • We develop and test product price potential through various qualitative and quantitative research methods (including the Van Westendorp and Gabor Granger methodologies amongst others) assessing both net and list pricing options for local tenders and MOH submissions
  • We establish the feasibility of implementation of different patient access programs and procurement contracts through understanding the types of programs that match local needs alongside local regulatory requirements
  • We conduct analogue analysis for new products involving clinical and/or economic analysis to formulate an understanding of what has driven regulatory, pricing and access success in the region and apply those learnings to novel products
